In which way does a new device (GigE camera) get its IP

address in the network?

The following flowchart shows the way to access a new device in the network

(implemented by AVT):

1. Persistent IP (factory default: disabled)

2. DHCP (if enabled; factory default: enabled)

3. Link-Local Address (APIPA or Auto IP) (always enabled)

Note



Link-Local Address is abbreviated commonly with LLA.

Other terms are: APIPA or Auto IP
